Flexible partial dentures are generally considered one of the most comfortable types of removable partial dentures. They are made out of a lightweight, soft, flexible plastic. They are custom manufactured to fit each individual patient.

A partial denture is a removable device used to replace one or more, but less than all, missing teeth. A flexible partial denture has a base made out of a flexible material that slides on over neighboring teeth to hold the prosthetic teeth in place.

Partial dentures are traditionally made out of metal and acrylic. These structures are rigid and usually attach to clasps that are glued on or drilled into the neighboring teeth.
