What is a flicker-flame light bulb?
By Forinfos - 12/04/2025 - 0 comments
A flicker-flame light bulb is a light bulb that is designed with a carbon filament that oscillates inside the glass and creates a flickering effect. Flicker-flame light bulbs have lower wattage power than standard light bulbs, and the flickering effect can occur only if the bulbs are installed vertically.
Flicker-flame light bulbs are designed to replicate Victorian-style gas lamps that were common fixtures in Colonial homes. The bulbs are commonly installed in porch fixtures and outdoor post lamps, as well as chandeliers, wall sconces and candelabras. Miniature flicker-flame string lights and LED flicker light candles are used for decorative lighting purposes.
