What font size should you use on a resume?

By Forinfos - 11/03/2025 - 0 comments

Using a 14- to 16-point font for the header and a 10.5- to 12-point font for the body of a resume creates a readable document that does not cause the reader to experience eyestrain. Electronic scanners misread smaller resume fonts, decreasing the chance that the resume makes the cut.

Using a smaller font size to fit more information on less paper creates a cramped, unprofessional appearance. Using a larger font size for body text takes up too much space and creates needless extra pages. The right font style also enhances readability. Times New Roman, Bookman Old Style, Georgia, Arial, Century Gothic, Verdana and Garamond are professional-looking font choices.
