What function does the Consulado Mexicano in Mobil serve?

As of 2015 the Mobile Mexican Consulate, or Consulate on Wheels, provides consular services to members of the Mexican community who do not have transportation to the permanent consulate. The Mobile Consulate provides passports and consular IDs to Mexican nationals in need of documents for travel or other purposes.

The Mobile Consulate also processes document renewals. Appointments are required for assistance with such matters. Examples of states in which such services are available include New York, Illinois, Wisconsin and California.

Permanent consulate locations assist Mexican nationals with wills and birth registries. They also assist those traveling to Mexico with any necessary visas.
