Where is the gall bladder located?
By Forinfos - 21/04/2026 - 0 comments
In the human body, the gallbladder is located just underneath the liver. It is a small, hollow muscular structure that primarily functions for the storage of bile, which is a digestive fluid produced by the liver.
The gallbladder is comparative to the size and shape of a small pear when it is filled with bile, which is common prior to taking a meal. The small cavity sits on the right portion of the stomach, forming part of the biliary tract. It is joined to the hepatic bile ducts via the cystic duct. During digestion, the gallbladder secretes the stored bile into the small intestine to aid in the breakdown of food, particularly fatty materials.
