Does the General Electric website offer information about serial numbers?

The General Electric website provides customers with a model and serial number locator feature that is organized by appliance category and type. Appliances featured on the locator include refrigerators, freezers, ovens, microwaves and dryers.

Users select the GE appliance category and type from a provided list. Customers are then redirected to an information page that contains an image of the specified appliance as well as detailed instructions on where the serial number can be located on the appliance.

The serial number can then be used to register the appliance with General Electric, schedule a repair, order a replacement part or locate warranty information pertaining to the specific appliance.
