Where is China?

China is located in eastern Asia. It's south of Russia and Mongolia and north of Bhutan and Myanmar, and it borders a portion of the Pacific coast. It also has claimed territories in the Pacific, located to the east of the Chinese mainland.

Spanning 3.7 million square miles, China has the third largest land area in the world, behind only Russia and Canada. It also has the largest population in the world, with 1.3 billion people, which makes up about 19 percent of the world's population. China's capital is Beijing, which is located in northeastern China, while its largest city is Shanghai, which is located in eastern central China.
