Where is Zurich?

Zurich is located in northern Switzerland, which is in Central Europe. The city is at the northern end of Lake Zurich. The Limmat River, which flows out of Lake Zurich, runs through the city.

As of 2013, the population of Zurich was 383,708, with roughly 1.83 million in the metropolitan area. It is the second largest country in Switzerland and is the capital city of the Canton of Zurich. As of 2014, Zurich is an important economic hub in Europe due to its central location. It is reachable by plane, train and road, and both its airport and rail station are among the busiest in Europe.
