Where do giraffes live?

Giraffes are herbivorous animals found in the plains of Africa. The great Savannah plains of Kenya, Tanzania and Zimbabwe are home to these animals. Giraffes forage for food in the dry African brush and also eat leaves found on the tall acacia trees found commonly in Africa.

Giraffes are the tallest of all land animals and may frequently reach a height of 20 feet. They have long, powerful hind legs that are often used to fight off potential predators. Their kick can often be lethal. They can frequently reach speeds of 40 kilometers per hour when chased.

Giraffes have a life span of about 25 years.
