What is a Golden Retriever and Boxer mix?

A cross between a golden retriever and a boxer is called a golden boxer. These dogs are medium-sized, averaging about 65 pounds at maturity. Their coat may be either the short coat of the boxer or the longer, feathered coat of the golden retriever.

The golden boxer varies in appearance, with some looking more like boxers and others more like golden retrievers. They come in a wide variety of colors, including some colors not found in either parent breed. The golden boxer is expected to be an active dog requiring regular exercise. Both parent breeds make excellent family dogs and are noted to be good with children.
