Do green anoles lay eggs?

Green anoles lay eggs. They willingly mate in captivity, and most females lay viable eggs. The real challenge is keeping the babies alive until they are able to fend for themselves.
Mating of green anoles can be encouraged by providing a large terrarium well-stocked with plants and perches. Keeping the anoles healthy through warm conditions, appropriate air and humidity, and good lighting increases egg-laying success. The female anoles lay eggs in scraped-out areas of dirt or debris at the base of plants. The laying season runs roughly from summer to autumn, and each mated female lays one egg every 10 days or so. The eggs hatch within four to six weeks.
