"Groundhog Day" is a movie starring Bill Murray, Andie MacDowell and Chris Elliott. Released in 1993, the film was directed by Harold Ramis and written by both Ramis and Danny Rubin.
"Groundhog Day" tells the story of a weatherman named Phil Connors. On February 2nd, he travels from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, to report on the Groundhog Day festivities occurring in the small town. The following day, Connors wakes to realize the day is playing out exactly the same as the previous one. Connors must figure out how to break the repetition or be doomed to spend every day exactly the same way. The film garnered $70.9 million at the box office when first released.
