HD-MET, or "The Met: Live in HD," is a series of performances from the Metropolitan Opera of New York City presented and broadcast in high-definition format. Certain movie theaters and radio stations broadcast these HD-MET performances.
"The Met: Live in HD" is an extension of the Met's tradition of broadcasting its live performances on the radio. The Metropolitan Opera's website offers schedules and lists of performances, which start at noon Eastern time as of 2015.
The Met usually shows encore presentations on the Wednesday following the initial performance, and sells tickets for individual HD-MET performances or for entire seasons.
