What is the yoga bow pose?
By Forinfos - 07/05/2026 - 0 comments
A yoga bow pose mimics the look of an archery bow. The bow pose, which is also called dhanurasana, involves lying on the stomach, bending the legs upward and grasping the ankles with the arms stretched back straight.
Once the individual has grasped the ankles, the chest should be lifted and the legs pulled up and back, tightening the body into the shape of a bow. The pose should be held for up to 30 seconds before releasing the ankles. The pose can be repeated up to two more times. The bow pose tones leg and arm muscles, while strengthening the back and improving flexibility.
