What is the highest level of national high school basketball playoffs?

Originally named The National High School Invitational, The Dick's Sporting Goods High School National Tournament is the highest level of national high school competition. It was launched in 2009 at Georgetown Prep in Bethesda, Maryland, but was moved to New York City in 2014 after gaining Dick's sponsorship.

The tournament is held in early April at Madison Square Garden. Organizers select eight teams to invite from USA Today's high school rankings; however, some state high school basketball associations do not allow teams to compete in tournaments after their state championships. Montverde Academy, a Florida High School, won the boys' 2014 Dick's National Tournament; Riverdale Baptist won the girls'.
