How do you place a ribbon garland on a Christmas tree?

Place ribbon garland on a Christmas tree by gathering sufficient garland, wrapping the garland around the tree, and adjusting it as needed. Garland should be added after lights have been placed on the tree and before ornaments are added to the tree.

1. Determine the amount of needed garland

   Plan to use at least 9 feet of ribbon garland for each foot of the Christmas tree’s height.

2. Wrap the tree

   Wrap the ribbon around the entire tree with some slack so that it is not very tightly wound. For ribbon without wire, twist it occasionally and secure in place with small wires. Leave some space between each row of garland.
