What is Hoodie Hoo Day?
By Forinfos - 04/03/2026 - 0 comments
Northern Hemisphere Hoodie-Hoo Day is an unofficial holiday that is intended to provide participants some fun relief from winter drudgery. Participants can mark the occasion by going outside, waving their arms around and yelling "hoodie-hoo!" This is said to be a way of staving off cabin fever, or a feeling of constraint, boredom and anxiety brought on by being trapped indoors.
Hoodie-Hoo Day falls on February 20 each year. Participants can mark the holiday by walking outside at noon on this day, waving their hands above their heads and shouting "hoodie-hoo!" This celebration can be done either alone or in a group.
