Hospitals that offer nursing degrees or programs include Bridgeport Hospital in Bridgeport, Connecticut; Holy Name Medical Center School of Nursing in Jersey City, New Jersey; and West Penn Hospital School of Nursing in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. West Penn Hospital offers a two-year Registered Nurse Diploma.

Bridgeport Hospital offers a diploma program and an associate degree program, The associate degree program is a two- to three-year educational commitment that requires the non-nursing courses be taken at a local community college. Only the nursing courses are taken at the hospital. The diploma in nursing program is an educational course of study in a hospital setting. The diploma and associate degree each allow the student to take NCLEX examinations and achieve the Registered Nurse license.

The Holy Name Medical Center offers a Practical Nurse diploma program and a Registered Nurse diploma program. Non-nursing courses are taken at St. Peter’s College and can combine with the associate degree program for application to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
