The Incan religion was polytheistic, meaning that the Incan people worshipped many different gods. They believed that each aspect of Earth and life had a god. The Incans worshipped the god of the sun, the god of the moon, the god of wind, the god of lightning and many more.

The Incans also believed that their creator's name was Viracocha. This god was worshipped by the Incan people and by many other tribes in Peru. Viracocha's worshippers believed that the god created the Earth and all of the living things on Earth. They also believed that Viracocha created the other gods that they worshipped.
