What is the incognito tab for in Google Chrome?
By Forinfos - 21/12/2025 - 0 comments
The incognito tab in Google Chrome allows a user to browse the Internet without leaving a record of it in the browser's history. It also doesn't store data, such as temporary Internet files and cookies, that would otherwise be left on the user's computer.
Users can open the incognito tab by using the Chrome menu, or in Windows and Chrome operating systems by pushing "Ctrl+Shift+N".
The incognito tab is helpful for users who do not want their browser history to be obvious, but the information may be available another way. Websites visited can still be seen by employers, websites and Internet service providers because of every computer's unique IP address.
