What Indian tribe lives in San Juan Capistrano?

The official website of the Juaneño Band of Mission Indians, Acjachemen Nation, indicates that it is the state-recognized Native American Indian tribe residing in San Juan Capistrano, Orange County, Calif. According to the California Missions Resource Center, the tribe speaks Takic and has been called Juaneño since the Spanish occupation.

The tribe's official website states that its people are the original inhabitants of the land that eventually became Orange County as well as the areas that became parts of Los Angeles, Riverside and San Diego counties. The tribe is known for providing manpower during the construction of several Orange County landmarks, including the Mission San Juan Capistrano.
