What is an infant feeder?

An infant feeder is a device that helps facilitate the switch from liquid to solid infant food. Some feeders look like a bottle with a wider spout, and others look like a mesh bag with a ring on the end that the infant can hold.

Instead of going directly from the bottle to spoon, parents can choose to make the transition easier by using a similar feeding device to introduce solids to their infant. For example, one type of infant feeder comes with a bottle that has a silicon nipple for liquid foods and a silicon spout for solid foods, such as infant cereal.
