What information is on a time conversion chart?

A time conversion chart provides minute-to-decimal equivalents. The purpose of a conversion chart is to allow workers and payroll departments to determine the percentage of an hour that a given number of minutes represents.
Minute-to-decimal time conversion charts are useful when calculating the pay of hourly employees. These charts help reduce the amount of time required to determine the multiplier needed to calculate the pay for cases in which an employee works a fraction of an hour. These charts have two columns: on the left side, minutes from one to 60; on the right side, the fraction of an hour represented by that number of minutes.
