Invesco PowerShares is an investment fund that provides additional smart-beta services, such as data analytics and analysis on its various funds. Invesco PowerShares are generally focused in the growth of new smart beta funds, meaning that Invesco does not launch new funds at the same pace as its competitors.
Invesco's PowerShares investment plan also concentrates its assets in a limited number of funds. As of 2015, approximately 15 PowerShares funds manage more than $1 billion in assets. Aside from PowerShares, Invesco also manages other funds on the Nasdaq, including the QQQ fund, which makes up over 30 percent of the company's managed assets.
