When does the Kent County SPCA close?

The Kent County SPCA in Delaware, which was renamed the First State Animal Center and SPCA in 2013, is open weekdays from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday hours are 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Adoption work ends 30 minutes before closing.
Animal control officers staff the First State SPCA 24 hours every day. The officers handle cases involving animal abuse, lack of shelter and animal neglect. They oversee Delaware's dog-control program.
Donations of cat and dog food, bed sheets and blankets, and dog sweaters are sought by the First State SPCA. Bring the donations to the shelter at 32 Shelter Circle, Camden, Delaware. Telephone numbers are (302) 943-6032 or toll free at (888) 352-7722.
