Is Kia's warranty transferable?
By Forinfos - 20/09/2025 - 0 comments
The original 10-year or 100,000-mile warranty Kia offers to new car buyers is not transferable. However, buyers of used Kia vehicles are able to transfer to a five-year or 60,000-mile manufacturer's power-train coverage, provided the vehicle is still within these limits.
Kia also offers buyers of new vehicles an extended warranty. It increases the number of years and miles the vehicle is covered. The extended warranty is transferable, provided the buyer pays the transfer fee, which varies by state. The new car buyer has the option of purchasing the extended warranty at several levels of protection that continue with the transferred warranty.
