By Forinfos - 20/07/2025 - 0 comments
Bamboo plants grow and spread quickly. By digging out the roots and rhizomes and treating any regrowth with weed killer, you can get rid of unwanted bamboo plants in your garden.
- Cut the bamboo shoots to ground level
If the bamboo plant is tall, cut the shoots to ground level to make it easier to work with the plant.
- Dig out the roots
Dig out as much of the bamboo root clump as possible.
- Check the area for new growth
Check the area for new growth periodically, and treat it with a chemical weed killer as soon as possible. Alternatively, cut the new growth down frequently with a lawn mower.
