What kind of funeral was held for Johnny Cash?

Johnny Cash's funeral was a small service with family and close friends. The service included tributes by Sheryl Crow, Emmylou Harris and Kris Kristofferson. The funeral took place at the First Baptist Church in Hendersonville, Tennessee.

Kristofferson closed his statement with a poem. He said that the "Man in Black was always shining brighter than a star.” Cash was an American singer-songwriter and guitarist. He was known for his deep, calm voice. Cash, who was one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century, was also an actor and author. He was born Feb. 26, 1932 and died Sept. 12, 2003.
