The KitchenAid Artisan series stand mixers come with a wire whisk attachment in addition to the flat beater and dough hook. All of the various models and styles of KitchenAid stand mixers come equipped with these attachments.

Modern KitchenAid stand mixers are all based on the design of the Model K mixer, first produced during the 1930s. Since the production of this model, all KitchenAid mixers have a hub on the front of the unit to which various appliances and attachments can be connected. The design of the mixer and these attachments have changed so little over time that appliances from the Model K mixer still connect to modern machines.
