What is the knockout game?

The "knockout game" is a violent assault committed on unsuspecting victims, usually by groups of teenagers. The goal is to knock the victim out with a single punch. Other names of the game include "one-hitter quitter," "knock 'em and drop 'em" and "point 'em out knock 'em out."

As of Nov. 21, 2013, at least four incidents of fatal knockout game attacks have been documented. The chosen victims are always alone, and there is no real pattern as to how they are chosen. Thirteen- and 14-year-old teenagers have been charged with murder after being seen playing the knockout game on a security camera's video footage.
