Do Labradoodles shed?

Labradoodles can shed, but many of the dogs have low-shed coats, which is why the breed is often referred to as a no-shedding dog. All dogs shed, regardless of breed, just like every other member of the animal kingdom.

A Labradoodle is a cross between a Labrador retriever and a poodle, and normally does not shed as much as other dog breeds. It is the poodle side of this breed that creates the characteristic of less shedding, but how much a Labradoodle will shed depends on the individual dog. Whether the puppy is a first or second-generation Labradoodle can also influence how much the dog will shed.
