Roasts can be frozen for four to 12 months, and hamburger and other ground meats can be frozen for three to four months. Hot dogs and luncheon meats keep in the freezer for one to two months, and bacon can be frozen for about one month. According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, these time frames have been established for food quality only, as frozen foods are safe to eat indefinitely.
