Siberian tigers live 10 to 15 years in the wild, but in captivity they can live 16 to 22 years. Also know as the Amur tiger, this is the largest member of the cat family.
Siberian tigers, which reach maturity around the age of 3, mate during any time of the year. The female produces two to six cubs in a litter after a gestation period that lasts 90 to 105 days. Cubs stay with their mothers for up to three years before leaving to establish their own territories.
As of 2015, most Siberian tigers in the wild live in the far eastern portion of southern Russia, but some live in China and North Korea. They no longer live in Siberia.
