By Forinfos - 02/08/2025 - 0 comments
Low-maintenance ground cover can refer to any type of plant designed to replace turf grass. They are used for particularly tough areas where grass does not thrive (such as areas with shade, little rain or poor soil composition) or to prevent heavy weed growth naturally.
White or Dutch clover is a popular low-maintenance ground cover due to its prolific nature and provides benefits such as nitrogen fixing to the soil. Other alternatives include creeping phlox, sedge, creeping thyme, lilyturf, mazus and moss. Low-maintenance cover also refers to other types of plants, such as shrub, flower and herb gardens, as well as ornamental grasses.
