What is the best Magic: The Gathering card?

Since Magic: The Gathering is a card game that relies on card synergy, there is no single best card. However, there is a set of cards referred to as the "Power Nine," which are considered some of the most powerful cards to have ever appeared in the game.

The "Power Nine" include the cards "Black Lotus," "Time Walk," "Ancestral Recall," "Timetwister" and the "Mox" jewels for each color of mana that can be produced. These cards provided dramatic card synergy and card advantage and were eventually banned outright. Because of their power, these cards are extremely rare and valuable to collectors. They were printed very early in the game's life cycle and are no longer in production.
