The main goal of North Shore Animal League is to rescue, nurture and adopt animals, saving the lives of innocent dogs and cats. North Shore Animal League is the world's largest no-kill rescue and adoption organization.

The North Shore Animal League rescues animals from overcrowded shelters, undesired litters and from owners who can no longer take care of their animals. The organization works to increase adoptions by using innovative programs, end animal cruelty, rescue animals and reduce euthanasia. It is also passionate about promoting the acceptance of mixed-breed animals. Its efforts have saved the lives of over a million animals to date.
