The Big Mac is sold in more than 100 countries. The United States is the chief consumer of the Big Mac, and Japan is the number-two consumer.

The individual who has eaten the most Big Macs is Donald Gorske of Fond du Lac, Wis. He has eaten more than 25,000 Big Macs since he ate his first one in 1972.

The Big Mac debuted in 1967 in Uniontown, Pa. Since then, McDonald's estimates having sold nearly 400 billion of its signature burgers.
