How many glasses of wine are in a bottle?

There are approximately five average glasses of wine in a 750 ml bottle and 10 in a 1.5L bottle. Each average glass of wine equals 1.5 standard drinks, which means that there are 7.5 standard drinks in a 750 ml bottle.

There are approximately 60 glasses of wine in a case. White wine is less alcoholic than red, however, so there are only around 6.8 drinks in a standard 750 ml bottle of white whine. The standard drink calculation is based on the amount of alcohol in the bottle. Red wine is approximately 13 percent alcohol, white is 11.5 percent alcohol and champagne is 12 percent alcohol.
