How many moons does the sun have ?

The sun does not have any moons. Located at the center of the solar system, the sun is a star that consists mainly of hydrogen and helium. According to NASA, the temperature at the core of the sun can reach as high as 27 million degrees Fahrenheit.

Since the sun is composed mainly of gases , it lacks a solid surface. Other characteristic features associated with the sun are its corona, solar flares and sunspots.

Certain planets that orbit around the sun do have moons. For example, Earth has one moon. Saturn, Jupiter, Mars and Uranus also have moons, but the planets Venus and Mercury do not.
