How many people use YouTube?

As of 2014, YouTube reports that over 1 billion unique visitors use its website each month. Every month, over 6 billion hours of video content are watched on YouTube. Every minute, users upload 100 hours of videos to the site.

FastCompany.com reports that one in every two people on the Internet visits YouTube. About 40 percent of YouTube's traffic comes from mobile devices, such as smartphones and tablets, and there are about 1 billion video views from mobile devices every day. Nielsen has determined that more U.S. adults between the ages of 18 and 24 watch YouTube than any cable network, and it is working with Google to provide advertising measurements for YouTube videos.
