Matt Lauer is married to Annette Roque, a former model, as of 2015. Lauer and Roque were married on Oct. 3, 1998. Annette gave birth to their first son, Jack Matthew Lauer, in 2001. They also have a daughter, Romy, born in 2003, and a son, Thijs, born in 2006.

Matt Lauer joined the "Today" show in 1994 and was promoted to co-host with Katie Couric in 1997. He replaced Bryant Gumbel, the previous co-host. Matt began his career in 1980 as an on-air reporter for WOWK-TV in West Virginia. He hosted several different shows before making it to the "Today" show, including "Esquire Show," "Day's End and Fame," and "Fortune & Romance."
