What is the maximum income eligibility for food stamps?

The maximum income allowed to be eligible for food stamps varies depending on the size of the family. However, if a family is on another type of assistance, such as TANF, the income maximum may be waived, as outlined by the USDA.
United States citizens can find all the gross and net income requirements on the USDA website. For example, a household of four may not make more than $2,584 before taxes and must not bring home more than $1,988 per month to be eligible for SNAP or Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, formerly called food stamps.
The USDA states that households must meet both the gross and net income limits to be eligible for assistance.
