What does it mean when you have dry nostrils?
By Forinfos - 05/05/2026 - 0 comments
A dry nose is one of the symptoms of rhinitis, and is often caused by hormonal imbalances, explains the American Department of Otolaryngology. Dry nostrils are a common side effect of some prescription medications. Certain contraceptive pills cause hormonal changes, which may aggravate non-allergic rhinitis.
To prevent a dry nose, always aim nasal sprays to the side of the nostrils, rather than straight up into the nose, advises NHS Direct Wales. Remember to breathe through the nose instead of the mouth, and avoid smoke-filled or dusty environments. Use a humidifier to moisten the air in your home or workplace, and avoid going from very cold to very warm environments, or vice versa.
