What is the meaning of "QQ"?

QQ, an Internet term based on a keyboard command, originally served as an insulting way to tell someone to quit playing an online game. Later, it came to symbolize whining and complaining in general.

The slang term QQ originated on Battle.net with the game Warcraft II. When players were losing badly, they could enter the keyboard command ALT+Q+Q to exit the game and return to the chat lobby, in other words, to quit out of frustration. In the years that followed, QQ morphed to mean "why don't you cry about that!" Generally, it serves as a rude way to tell people they need to stop whining or leave the game.
