What mileage does the Audi A3 automatic diesel get?

For the 2015 model year, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency estimated that the Audi A3 sedan averages 31 mpg in the city, and 43 mpg on the highway with its six-speed automatic transition. This comes from a turbocharged, 2-liter engine making 150 horsepower and 236 pound-feet of torque.

As of September 2015, customers cannot purchase new Audi A3s with a diesel engine. Volkswagen, Audi's parent company, admitted to cheating on U.S. emissions tests and halted sales of all vehicle models using this 2-liter diesel engine, including the A3, through the 2016 model year. The company plans to recall existing models, numbering about 482,000, to address their emissions systems.
