Are there miniature Rottweilers?

The miniature Rottweiler does not exist as a purebred dog. While some so-called Rottweilers are small, these particular dogs are not the offspring of two Rottweilers. Often, this dog is the product of a Rottweiler and a Miniature Pinscher, and looks more like the Rottweiler parent.

The standard Rottweiler weighs between 85 and 130 pounds. This dog has a thick coat of black and brown fur and is both strong and intelligent. Although Rottweilers are extremely loyal, this breed requires thorough socializing during the puppy phase. The offspring of a Rottweiler and a Miniature Pinscher often share some of the personality traits of a Rottweiler, but in a considerably smaller package.
