What is a mix between a dachshund and a poodle known as?

A dachshund and poodle mix dog is called a doxiepoo, doodle or Doxie Poo. This hybrid dog is uncommon, but the combined temperaments of their respective breeds make them affectionate, loyal and intelligent. A well-socialized doxiepoo makes an excellent pet for households with children.

Doxiepoos are small with the low-slung body of the dachshund, but they have a poodle's curly coat. The coat length varies as does its texture. The most common colors are black and tan, black, red, brown and white. Their ears are floppy and hang midway to their cheeks. The mix normally weighs between 10 to 30 pounds and has a life expectancy of 10 to 15 years.
