The Ural Mountains is the primary mountain range that divides Europe and Asia. The mountains stretch a distance of over 1,550 miles from the Arctic Ocean in the north almost to the Caspian and Aral Seas in the south.
The eastern side of the Ural Mountains forms a natural boundary between the continents. Although the Urals are said to be the dividing line between the two continents, the main parts of Europe and Asia are really a single land mass. Rich in minerals as well as semi-precious and precious stones, these mountains are located in western Russia and provide a great economic advantage to the country. The highest peak is Mount Narodnaya, which is 6,214 feet high.
