How much does an adult elephant weigh?

An adult African elephant weighs between 4,000 and 14,000 pounds, according to Sea World Parks and Entertainment, while an adult Asian elephant weighs between 4,000 and 10,000 pounds. Female elephants are slightly smaller than males.
