The typical recommended daily dose for CoQ10 is 30 to 200 milligrams per day for both women and men, according to Everyday Health. Children should not take CoQ10.
No established dosages for CoQ10 have been established, as WebMD points out. Studies investigating the supplement have involves dosages ranging from 50 to 1,200 per day. CoQ10 has shown some efficacy in lowering blood pressure, treating heart conditions, slowing the progression of Alzheimer's disease, and treating the adverse side effects of statin drugs. However, most research is inconclusive regarding its use for these and other purposes. No scientific evidence exists to support the claim that CoQ10 boosts energy.
